MarketONE: Opportunity
Contents
Overview
The direct-to-consumer (D2C) digital service phenomenon has created issues for both consumers and over-the-top (OTT) digital service providers. Consumers are looking for a digital services solution they can easily connect to and use, and OTTs are trying to provide it without contributing to the frustrating user experience of application fragmentation and fatigue. Many of the D2C applications still require multiple logins, payments, profiles, and preferences. Many of these OTTs want to have a kind of omnipresent Netflix-like market reach: they want to be in every geography with every customer. However, they lack access to a service provider (SP) to achieve this goal. This legacy siloed approach prevents them from both meeting their customer's needs, and from achieving their desired market dominance.
The current approach to address these issues is not working. Creating custom one-off partnerships between SPs and OTTs and user journeys that are built from scratch each time takes months to accomplish. This is also true when it comes to addressing expensive billing and identity and activation integrations. This situation is the catalyst for SPs to do something different. They have the opportunity to take advantage of the market position they find themselves in. Because they are a bridge between consumers and OTTs (as illustrated in the diagram below), they can combine offerings that can be delivered from OTT providers, package their own products and services, and then seamlessly deliver them to consumers. This gives them a way to pull out additional value, and to help manage, maintain, and retain customers.
Amdocs' MarketONE has been specifically designed to successfully leverage this bridge. By utilizing user (ULM), subscription (SLM), and partner lifecycle management (PLM) domains, MarketONE provides the best end-to-end digital services delivery solution to meet the demands of consumers and digital services alike.
