PLM Domain UI
Contents
Overview
MarketONE comes with a PLM domain UI that provides self service functionality for communications service providers (CSPs). It is used to manage organizations, admins, partnership models, settlement models, agreements, settlement rules, and products.
PLM Domain UI Use Case
Consider the following use case where a CSP goes through a step by step process of creating a partnership model, a settlement model, an agreement, and a settlement rule for an over-the-top (OTT) provider. All of this is done through the PLM domain UI.
- The CSP first creates a partnership model using the PLM domain UI. This is a template that is used to create an initial agreement between the CSP and the OTT. Only the CSP has the ability to both create and manage one or more partnership models (depending on the product category and the settlement terms). The two contractual models that can be used are Integration and Reseller.
- The CSP then creates a settlement model. This is a template that is used in an agreement between the CSP and the OTT. Only the CSP has the ability to both create and manage one or more settlement models (depending on the product category and the type). The two models that can be used are Revenue Share and Cost.
- The CSP then creates an agreement. This is a contract between the CSP and the OTT that defines the terms of the settlement. Agreements can be created by using a combination of the partnership model (created in the first step) and the settlement model (created in the second step). Agreements can also be created without using an existing partnership model or an existing settlement model.
- The CSP then creates a settlement rule. These are created by the CSP to find an OTT product to an agreement. Multiple products can be associated to an agreement by creating settlement rules for each product. These rules are used during the settlement process to calculate the settlement amount for each OTT.
