# Commerce Engine Portal User Roles and Access

During the Commerce Engine implementation phase, designate authorized users that can access the Commerce Engine Portal. One of these users must be named a Super User, who has high-level administrator access to all the objects.

The following user roles are available as part of the Commerce Engine Portal:

* **Business Manager**: Responsible for managing and defining the offering including access to create the product catalog. Additionally, the user can view financial data and customer data in order to have a full understanding of customer needs.
* **Business User**: This user has access to view details regarding the offering and financial data and performance.
* **Customer Service Representative**: This user interacts directly with the customers and handles customer data. The user can access and edit information regarding the customer account, subscription and billing details. The user can view the product catalog items but not edit them.
* **Customer Service Manager**: This user supervises the Customer Service Representatives and therefore has access to all the Customer Service Representative permissions. The user can view the product catalog items but not edit them.
* **Super User**: The high-level administrator of the account. This user has access to all the areas in the Portal. Additionally, this user is responsible for managing the users using the IDP Console.
* **Exception Analyst**: This user handles supporting data and may investigate issues and trends. Therefore the user can access and edit customer accounts and transactions. The user can view the product catalog items but not edit them.

To see a list of users for your account, run the **Users** report available under **Insights** > **Run Reports**. For more details, see [Users](reportsUsers).
