# Log in to Editorial Management Interface (EMI)

Permission to access areas of Editorial Management Interface (EMI) are provided through [user roles](EMIUserRoles_r).

For first time access to the system, you'll receive your user login details in an invite sent by a Super Administrator from your organization.

To log in to Editorial Management Interface (EMI), do the following:

1. Navigate to the **Editorial Management Interface (EMI)** **Log In** page provided to you by your organization's Super Administrator.

2. Enter your username and password.

   * If you forget your password, click **Forgot your password?**

     The **Reset your password** page appears.

     Enter your email address and click **Send password reset email**.

     Editorial Management Interface (EMI) sends you an email with a link to set a new password. The email includes a one-time code you need to enter to re-set your password. This one-time code is only to be used once for this instance of resetting your password.

     Select the link in the email.

     The **Set your password** page appears.

     Enter the code from your email.

     Enter your new password.

     Select **Set Password**.

     You've successfully set your password. You can now log in to Editorial Management Interface (EMI).

   You've successfully signed in to Editorial Management Interface (EMI).

3. To sign out of Editorial Management Interface (EMI), click your name in the top right-corner and select **Sign out**.

   You've successfully signed out of Editorial Management Interface (EMI).
