# Commerce Engine Portal

The Commerce Engine Portal is a web-based interface to the Commerce Engine system for both administrative and customer life cycle management. This portal is intended for use by Reseller representatives for management of the product catalog, review of business data and reports, customer service representatives providing service to customers, and administration of Reseller (Service Provider) users.

The Commerce Engine Portal supports personalization per user locale and also offers multi-language interface (currently available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese). Additional language support can be added upon request.

The Portal itself is divided into 2 main areas:

* **Catalog Activities**: The **Catalog** section provides access to the Commerce Engine objects that define your offerings, the price points, and billing schedule.
* **Billing Related Activities**: The **Billing** section lets you monitor and manage the main billing-related entities such as customer accounts and payment methods, subscriptions, and transactions.

Commerce Engine supports most recent versions of Google Chrome-based browsers. Most major browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, and Opera, are also compatible.

## User Authentication

Amdocs products are built to keep data secure and compliant and meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) SSAE-18 SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 requirements and ISO 27001 security requirements.

Amdocs's IDP supports all PCI and ISO required security measures such as complex passwords, Multi-Factor Authentication, and the use of unique passwords. It also provides an additional security layer for Amdocs portals, helping to protect against unauthorized access.

Optionally, Resellers (Service Providers) can request to use external user authentication via their Identity Provider using OIDC-standards. Support is currently available for OKTA IDP and Microsoft Azure. For more details and requirements, see [External User Requirements](../../productDescription/topics/externalUserAuthenticationAbout).

## Portal User Roles

The Commerce Engine Portal provides access based on user roles and their assigned permissions:

* **Business Manager and Business Users**: Responsible for the Reseller (Service Provider) offering and product catalog. The users can see business-related analytics.
* **Customer Service Manager and Representatives**: This user interacts directly with the customers and handles customer data. These users can access and edit information regarding the customer account, subscription, and billing details. The user can view the product catalog items but not edit them.
* **Super User**: The high-level administrator of the Reseller (Service Provider) account. This user has access to all the areas in the Portal. Additionally, this user is responsible for authorized user management using Amdocs's IDP Care console and contacts Amdocs client technical support to add a user.
* **Exception Analyst**: This user handles supporting data and may investigate issues and trends. Therefore the user can access and edit customer accounts and transactions. The user can view the product catalog items but not edit them.
