# Cancel Subscription

This flow shows how a customer can cancel an active subscription in the Reseller's (Service Provider's) digital store.

In this use case, the Reseller (Service Provider) manages subscription cancellation rules.

This use case has the following steps:

1. Cancel the Subscription
2. Cancel Merchant Partner Subscription

**Note:** The APIs used for integration with Partner Ecosystem Management are the MarketONE APIs.

## 1. Cancel the Subscription

If the customer wants to cancel their active subscription, they can cancel it within the Reseller's (Service Provider's) digital store.

The Reseller can schedule the cancellation to take place at the end of the billing cycle or trigger the cancellation via the MarketONE OpenAPI immediately.

The Reseller's system calls the MarketONE OpenAPI to cancel the entitlement by passing the **partnerSubscriptionId** and the reason code. The MarketONE OpenAPI cancels the Merchant Partner Subscription.

## 2. Cancel Merchant Partner Subscription

Asynchronously, the MarketONE OpenAPI calls the Merchant to cancel (that is, delete) the Partner subscription on the Merchant's side. The MarketONE OpenAPI updates the Partner Subscription status to **CANCELLED**. The customer can no longer use the subscription.
