# API Keys

API keys are required to make calls to the platform. In Partner Ecosystem Management, you must generate an API key for each Reseller (Service Provider) you have a partnership with. After you authenticate with your API key, you can communicate with that Reseller via Partner Ecosystem Management. You can manage the services from your agreement with the Reseller.

Each API key is a JSON Web Token (JWT) that doesn't expire. For every API call a Merchant makes to the [Partner Ecosystem Management OpenAPIs](https://docs.saas.amdocs.com/bundle/MarketONEAPIs/page/index.html), the API key for the specific Reseller must be included in the header (`X-API-KEY`) of the call to ensure a trusted communication. All communication is HTTP(s) based and supports SSL/TLS encryption.

The **API Keys** page shows a list of API keys that have been generated for partnered Resellers and the dates they were generated. Using the list, you can identify when an API doesn't exist for a Reseller.
