Commerce Engine is a comprehensive SaaS-based subscription management and billing component designed to ensure your subscription business success. Commerce Engine supports all phases of the subscription lifecycle and offers the power and speed that you need for today’s subscription-based economy. The component provides scalable features allowing you to acquire and retain subscribers and their associated recurring revenue and overcome the drawbacks of traditional billing approaches. Commerce Engine is a component of MarketONE, the cloud-based platform.

Who is Commerce Engine For?

Commerce Engine is designed for eCommerce Resellers (Service Providers) at any stage of their business journey—whether they are launching, scaling, or leading their market. It supports Resellers who need to launch or manage subscription-based offerings or one-time payment models, providing a comprehensive billing and payment component as part of the overall MarketONE solution. This component is ideal for Resellers looking to support their users’ end-to-end lifecycle, from acquisition and user profiling to recurring billing, by leveraging cloud-based technology. Commerce Engine consists of the following:
  • The Commerce Engine Portal provides a Reseller-friendly, intuitive web-based interface that allows you to manage and customize your subscription catalog and billing integration in a safe and secure manner as well as access subscription business data and insights.
  • The Commerce Engine API enables Resellers (Service Providers) to link their data and customized interfaces to Commerce Engine from their online store, customer support, customer self service, financial and business applications.
Commerce Engine requires the following MarketONE component to run:
  • Partner Ecosystem Management: a platform that brings an ecosystem of organizations together to resell each other’s products and services. With Partner Ecosystem Management’s efficient onboarding process, a Merchant organization can quickly integrate with Partner Ecosystem Management to resell or bill their products and services with one or many Reseller organizations. Likewise, a Reseller organization can integrate with Partner Ecosystem Management to resell Merchant products or provide billing for a Merchant’s products. Partner Ecosystem Management streamlines the entire process of integrating, onboarding, reselling, and processing settlements, allowing Merchants and Resellers to focus on building their subscription bases.
The following MarketONE component can be used with Commerce Engine:
  • The Storefront Experience: MarketONE’s storefront component that enables Resellers (Service Providers) to link their data and customized interfaces as a gateway to Commerce Engine from their online store. Interfaces are available to provide customer support, customer self service, identity management, and financial and business applications. For these features, Commerce Engine is exposed through the Storefront Experience layer. Note: Resellers that prefer to provide their own storefront can use the Commerce OpenAPI to integrate with Commerce Engine. For more information, see the Commerce Engine API section.
