Common Process Error Codes - MarketONE — SaaS Knowledge Center

This topic describes some of the common error codes that can occur when you invoke a Storefront Gateway Process. Storefront Gateway returns errors in one of two types of error arrays: validation errors (errors based on user or client input in a specific field), and operation errors (errors based on everything else).

Validation Field Errors

A validation fieldError is generated during a JSR303 validation. Output includes fieldName, code, and message. It’s mapped to the HTTP 400 status code.

Storefront Gateway Business Error Code	Description
`unexpected-field-error`	The user entered unexpected or invalid input.

Operation Errors

This error is generated from a variety of error conditions, but it generally refers to an issue with the service (as opposed to the client or user). Every object in an operationErrors array will contain a code and message, and these are designed to be explicit enough to clarify the reason for the error.
