User Authentication

User authentication is required in order to access most protected Storefront Gateway resources (e.g., authentication is required to access most Storefront Gateway APIs and certain Processes). Most end users interacting with an organization’s service will follow a standard Storefront Gateway authentication flow in order to open a user session. Below are the two primary user authentication methods provided by Storefront Gateway:

Standard User Authentication (sign in with an authN ID + password)
Social Media User Authentication (sign in with an associated third-party social account)

Storefront Gateway Cloud also supports additional authentication security protocols when opening and maintaining user sessions, including:

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Recaptcha
One-Time Password (OTP)
Standard User Authentication
Social Authentication
Multi-Factor Authentication
