The Active Subscriptions License Report is a report for Resellers (Service Providers) that provides counts of active subscriptions per Merchant product. Active subscriptions are counted for both Platform-managed and Merchant-managed subscriptions. The report can help you determine the number of subscriptions that were active at any time during the monthly reporting period. The report also breaks down the number of subscriptions per service status, and does this for every product. The criteria for counting active subscriptions vary depending on whether the product lifecycle is Platform-managed or Merchant-managed. In each subscription product lifecycle, Partner Ecosystem Management counts subscriptions with the following conditions as active:
  • Platform-Managed
    • The subscription’s billing status is Active
    • The subscription was activated and then canceled in the same month (these subscriptions are also counted under the Cancelled and Cancellation-in-progress service statuses in the report)
    • The subscription has been purchased but not provisioned (these subscriptions are counted under the Unprovisioned service status in the report) Note: A subscription can have an Unprovisioned status for up to 2 months. After 2 months, the subscription is automatically moved to Cancelled status.
    • The subscription has been purchased and provisioned but not activated (these subscriptions are counted under the Inactive service status in the report)
    • The subscription has already been paused or is paused in the reporting month (these subscriptions are also counted under the Paused service status in the report)
  • Merchant-Managed
    • The subscription’s billing status is Active Note: Until the Active billing status is canceled, it will continue to be counted as an active subscription by Partner Ecosystem Management.
By request, the Partner Ecosystem Management team can configure a query parameter that looks for attempted transactions for Merchant-managed subscriptions. These attempted transactions best represent a Merchant trying to renew a customer’s active subscription. This query parameter increases the accuracy of Merchant-managed subscription data. To have this capability added to the report, contact your Partner Ecosystem Management representative.
