Step 1: Join Partner Ecosystem Management and Learn More
- After you agree to join Partner Ecosystem Management, the Partner Ecosystem Management team reaches out to you for initial discussions.
- The Partner Ecosystem Management team provides you with a configuration sheet for your deployment.
- Return the completed configuration sheet to your Partner Ecosystem Management representative.
- You can access our Partner Ecosystem Management product documentation and developer documentation to get familiar with the product.
Step 2: Set Up the Reseller (Service Provider) Organization in the Pre-Production Environment
- Sign commercial agreements directly with the Merchants, ensuring your Partner Ecosystem Management representative knows legal approvals are completed.
- Your Partner Ecosystem Management representative creates the Reseller organization and the first Admin user account in the pre-production environment. Your Partner Ecosystem Management representative helps you set up your organization in the pre-production environment.
- Create a partnership and a product agreement with a test Merchant in the pre-production environment. This is needed to complete integration testing with the platform and a test Merchant. Your Partner Ecosystem Management representative can provide support as needed.
-
The Partner Ecosystem Management team configures the following for your pre-production environment:
- API key
- Webhook events
- Gateway adapter endpoints
- Health check endpoint
- SFTP settings
- Private allowlist attributes
- Activation reminder schedules Note: Other configuration settings are determined on a case-by-case basis with your Partner Ecosystem Management representative during the onboarding project.
-
Depending on your agreement, either you or the Partner Ecosystem Management team will conduct end-to-end testing of the test Merchant and product. If you’re responsible for acceptance testing, the Partner Ecosystem Management team will be available to provide support as needed. The goal of these tests is to validate your organization’s configurations and settings.
- See the Integration Use Cases for more information on testing flows.
- Create a partnership and a product agreement with a real Merchant in the pre-production environment. These processes allow you to validate product provisioning flows with a Merchant outside of a live environment. If you and the Merchant have your own test environments to integrate with Partner Ecosystem Management’s pre-production environment, it can be helpful to test these environments as well.
- Provide Partner Ecosystem Management with account numbers that can be used in integration tests. This process often includes sending platform requests, and setting up events and notifications. The Partner Ecosystem Management team can provide support when you conduct standard integration testing.
Step 3: Set Up the Reseller (Service Provider) Organization in the Production Environment
- Your Partner Ecosystem Management representative works with you to set up your organization and configuration settings in the production environment.
- In the production environment, your Partner Ecosystem Management representative assists you in replicating the real partnerships and product agreements you set up in the pre-production environment.
Step 4: Launch and Validate
- To validate entitlement requests for Merchant products end-to-end, integration testing is performed between you and the Merchant. The Partner Ecosystem Management team can provide support when you conduct standard integration testing. Note: Partner Ecosystem Management recommends that you validate flows with test accounts in the production environment before enabling live customer purchases from your digital store.
- Download the Daily Partner Subscription Extract and check to see if it reflects what the validation testing shows for Merchant product activations.
- Set up an external IDP (identity provider) for user federation if desired (optional). For more information about external user federation, see User Authentication via an External Identity Provider (IdP).
- After completing the above steps, you’re ready to sell to customers.
