This section describes how subscriptions are purchased, provisioned, and activated once integration is complete. This process assumes the Reseller (Service Provider) and Merchant have completed all onboarding tasks with Partner Ecosystem Management. The flow is as follows:
  1. The customer logs in to the Reseller’s marketplace or digital store.
  2. The Reseller displays relevant products to customers from Merchants with whom the Reseller has product agreements.
  3. The customer browses the Merchant’s products and selects a product.
  4. The Reseller displays the billing plan, price, and any applicable product discounts to the customer.
  5. The customer confirms the purchase.
  6. The Reseller calls the MarketONE API (that is, the API for Partner Ecosystem Management) to create the entitlement. Note: In some implementations, the Reseller could process the payment before sending the entitlement request to the MarketONE API.
  7. The MarketONE API creates the Merchant subscription and generates a registration link and redemption code.
  8. The MarketONE API calls the Merchant to provision the subscription and sends the redemption code to the Merchant.
  9. The MarketONE API sends the Reseller the registration link and redemption code via notification.
  10. The Reseller sends the customer a registration link and redemption code. The customer logs in to or signs up to the Merchant’s app with the registration link and redemption code.
  11. The platform makes settlement reports available to the Reseller and the Merchant. The Reseller manages customer billing, including the recurring charges.
