An agreement can have one of the following states at a time:
  • Draft: A Reseller (Service Provider) created and saved the agreement. They can edit the agreement at any time in this state.
  • Pending Approval: The Reseller submitted an agreement to the Merchant for review and approval. The Reseller can no longer edit the agreement in this state.
  • Canceled: The agreement is inactive. This is a terminal state. In this state, the Reseller can’t edit the agreement or submit it for approval. The agreement was canceled in one of the following scenarios:
    1. The Reseller (Service Provider) canceled a drafted agreement.
    2. The Reseller or Merchant canceled the approval process.
    3. The Reseller or Merchant canceled an active agreement. To cancel an agreement, there can’t be any active subscriptions. Any active subscriptions must be canceled first.
  • Active: The Merchant approved the agreement and now the agreement is official. The Reseller can’t edit the agreement in this state. Either party can cancel the agreement in this state as long as there are no active subscriptions.
  • Rejected: When a Merchant rejects an agreement, the agreement becomes inactive. The Reseller can edit the agreement and re-submit the agreement for approval.
